The Truth About Replica Handbags

July 6th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Accessories

It’s an irony of the 21st century that the more people want exclusivity, the less they can achieve it. Take the case of replica handbags as an example. We all desire the expensive bags made by Prada, LV or Versace that we see advertised in all the glossy fashion magazines. However, to maintain exclusivity, these designers deliberately overcharge by thousands simply to stop normal people like us wearing them. By making them out of the reach of normal people, the watch makers believe that only the super rich will buy them and this will maintain the desirability.

However, there is an easy way round this. Put simply, why spend hundreds on the real article which is priced to stop you buying it, when replica handbags cost generally less than $200? The normal person on the street can gain the prestige and exclusivity that comes of having one of these bags without having to sell the car and walk everywhere instead. We get the same manufacturing quality, the same looks, and the same material as the genuine article, without having to spend a fortune on companies who would rather we didn’t buy from them.

And, if the sales figures are to be believed, most people would agree with this. Sales in replica handbags outstrips sales in the original by as much as a hundred to one. Everyone wants their very own Louis Vuitton or Chanel bag, but can only afford to pay $200 instead of possibly $1500. And with the plethora of places offering replica handbags these days, it’s never been easier to get your hands on one.

How To Beat The Credit Crunch

July 6th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Shopping

With the credit crash and the recession having hit us hard, it’s obvious that the consumption and excess of the last ten years are finally behind us, and we’re looking at several years of possible hardship to replace this. This is especially pronounced in the world of fashion, where prices make it hard sometimes to justify the amount that designers charge on their items.

Which is why so many people these days are choosing knock off designer handbags. Part of us still wants to have that quality and style that goes with the designer goods, but are unwilling or unable in these times to spend the several hundred dollars on their favourite handbag, when a knock off Louis Vuitton handbag would cost half or even a third of the original. The quality is still there, the branding is still superb, the only essential difference is the price.

Certainly, in the current economic climate, many people are worried about the security of their jobs, their homes, and their way of life. They don’t want to compromise too much on the lifestyle, but at the same time know that they need to save a lot more than they have been doing. Saving perhaps a couple of hundred dollars on knock off purses over the originals is an easy saving, and one that more and more people are doing. They can save money, but they still have the designer clothes and accessories they enjoy without having to compromise on either quality or looks.

Designer Shoes And Why Nothing Can Beat Them

July 6th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Footwear

As a straight guy you wouldn’t expect me to get that into designer shoes. However, I have to confess that I’m absolutely obsessed by them. There’s nothing like going to work in a pair of Prada shoes that really makes my whole day. It’s strange, especially as I’m not really into any other item of designer clothes. My jeans are from the supermarket, my sunglasses have no brand on them at all, and my suits are cheap and shiny. But my shoes are special. No matter whether it’s at work, shopping in town, or just watching TV at home, I always have on the best shoes possible.

I can’t exactly explain why I love shoes so much. It might be due to the fact that, unlike some other types of clothing, shoes are much more discrete. Having a pair of Gucci shoes is not like wearing a T-Shirt with Calvin Klein written large for everyone to see. It might be something to do with the fact that I’m on my feet all day, and my impeccable (if possibly slightly flawed logic) is that if I’m going to spend money on something I wear, then shoes make the most sense. But at the end of the day, there is no logic to it. I wear them because I love them, and maybe because I feel that women shouldn’t have all the fun. You might think I’m strange, and maybe you’d be right, but I don’t think I’m the only straight guy out there who likes having some shoes that are a cut above the average.

Sheepskin Shoes – Looking Good And Keeping Warm

July 6th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Footwear

There is something wonderful about sheepskin footwear like the type produced by Ugg boots. It’s such a simple idea when you think about it, but one that wouldn’t have occurred to me. Of course sheepskin boots have been around for a long time. They have been really popular in northern latitudes, where the cold winters and the need for wool anyway meant that sheep were bred, and the wool was inevitably used in footwear.

The modern type of sheepskin boot, like the Ugg Australia classic tall boot, only came about at the beginning of the twentieth century. Aeroplanes in those days weren’t heated or pressurised, and pilots had to endure long periods of sub-zero temperature. The sheepskin boot was re-invented, and eagerly seized on by the pilots and crews of planes, and the status of sheepskin boots grew exponentially.

After the second world war, the sheepskin boot was used a lot by the surfers on the Pacific West Coast and in Hawaii. Long hours spent in the water could mean that you would rapid get cold once you came out. The amazing thermal qualities of wool and sheepskin would heat you up far better than any other type of footwear which made them first choice for surfers and swimmers.

Nowadays, they’ve become a global fashion accessory, and not just because they are better than anything else at keeping you warm and comfortable. For those of you who are looking to get one, you really want to check out the Ugg sale. Once you buy one pair, you’ll never look back.

Could You Tell The Difference?

July 6th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Jewelry

With the growth in consumer awareness, it is amazing how much shoppers can save by purchasing replica goods instead of paying a fortune for the real item. Take, for example, a Japanese Rolex replica watch and compare it to the real thing. Only the experts would be able to tell them apart, and in terms of accuracy, well if anything, the Rolex Swiss replica watches are sometimes more accurate than the original due to the use of laser calibrated machinery and quartz crystals.

Swiss watches as a whole built a reputation during the nineteenth and early twentieth century for accuracy. However, with the introduction of quartz and Japanese precision technology, Swiss watches lost that edge of accuracy . They then changed their direction, and marketed themselves as the last word in opulence and exclusivity, keeping the prices high in order to prevent too many people from having one.

Of course, most of the replica watches out there use exactly the same materials as the genuine Rolex, but made in Japan by skilled engineers instead of the similarly skilled engineers in the prohibitively expensive Switzerland. That’s why ladies Rolex watches cost between $2000 and $1000, whilst the Japanese replica will cost approximately $150.

Given these circumstances, it isn’t surprising that people these days prefer to buy replicas than the real thing. They’re built to the same levels of quality, look identical, and in many cases are actually slightly more accurate. The only difference is the several thousand dollars in cost and the country of manufacture.

What The Designers Don’t Want You To Have

July 6th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Accessories

Most of us in our time have bought at least a couple of replica Prada handbags. We would love to have one or two to buy into the prestige and exclusivity that goes with owning Prada, yet we don’t have the thousands of dollars that it costs to buy the real article. The replicas themselves are generally made to the same high quality, made from the same materials, yet as they’re not going for the exclusivity of keeping ownership figures low, you can generally find a good quality replica on the internet for under $200.

A recent study found that Gucci replica handbags outnumber real ones by up to one hundred to one. Most people would also be completely unable to tell the difference between the genuine article and the replica, with only the experts certain of knowing by tracking the serial number. Again the reasons are similar. The fashion houses don’t want you to own their products, hence their pricing strategy. It’s designed to be owned by as few people as possible who have the maximum amount of money. By contrast, the people on the internet selling you replica Coach purses have much lower profit margins, so are mainly interested that you buy from them again. They will therefore use the same materials, and the same methods of manufacture, but will charge a fraction of the price. Their customer service is better generally, as they actually want you to buy from them. Given the choice, it makes much more sense these days to buy replicas than originals.

The Most Important Item Of Clothing? Shoes!

July 6th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Footwear

There is something about having nice shoes that all of us adore. Something to do with the perfection of a perfect pair of Louis Vuitton shoes that just makes the day worthwhile. Everyone seems to do this. You will see people who will make long detours on their route home just to be able to stare into a shop window for hours on end at the latest brand of Chanel shoes. Or maybe we pass the time through boring meetings by staring at our shoes and thinking how much nicer they are to everybody else’s in the room. It’s become almost to the point where keeping up with the Jones is conducted solely by footwear. And there is valid reason for making shoes the primary love of your life. When you think about it, we’re on our feet fifteen or sixteen hours a day. Our feet are subjected to stairs, roads, and anything else that goes on in our day. And we all know just how painful a cheap or ill-fitting pair of shoes really is. Repeated wearing of ill-fitting footwear could even cause permanent damage to the spine, leaving us crippled in later life. So we take care, and pamper ourselves with the best shoes we can afford.

It doesn’t matter that that pair of Coach shoes we really want costs about the same as weekend in Vegas, we still want them. And we’ll have them. Because there really is nothing quite like a really fabulous pair of shoes.

Air Force One – The Most Popular Shoes Ever Made?

July 6th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Footwear

Air Force One have to be the best of all the brands of sports shoes out there. Air Force One shoes match what we do perfectly, especially if you’re a normal or average guy who does a bit of sport, but isn’t a professional sports player. The best ones have to be the Air Force 1 low shoes, which fit perfectly. The design and fit cannot be beaten. Their shoes are supremely comfortable, colorful, incredibly cool, stylish, and great as sportswear or street-wear.

It has always been difficult for most of us guys to buy good shoes. Who of us wants to wear your average black or brown shoes at the weekend? They’re restrictive, and to be honest, they look like the kind of thing our father would wear. Sports shoes and trainers are always much more comfortable, and what we prefer wearing when we’re not at work. The trouble is that although we do a bit of sports, we don’t really want to be seen wearing the kind of trainers that are designed purely for function with absolutely no thought put into style. That’s why Air Force One is so fantastic. Seriously, go check out their website. The colors are vibrant, fresh, and the style itself is a great fusion of street and sports fashion.

Compared to all the other brands out there, there is nothing to rival Air Force One. They look great, they feel great, and they work great. I would really recommend you check out the Air Force One sale on their website now. They really are that good.

Ed Hardy And Christian Audigier – The True Evolution Of Fashion

July 6th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Clothing

One of the greatest unions of styling happened in 2004 when Christian Audigier met up with Ed Hardy. Hardy is known as being probably the greatest tattooists ever to have lived. He has incorporated a variety of styles, and is best known for his trademark fusion of Japanese and American aesthetics which has earned him the nickname “the godfather of modern tattoo”.

Audigier himself has been a designer for several sportswear brands including Naf-Naf, Kookai, Affliction, and Von Dutch. He’s best known for being a fantastic jeans designer and for being superbly connected in Hollywood. He is basically known for having brought the best of European casual style to the USA.

In 2004 Hardy and Audigier produced the new Brand “Ed Hardy clothing”. They produce high fashion street-wear and swimwear, but are best known for the intricate and spectacularly designed jeans for both men and women. In all these clothes, there is a huge amount of the type of artwork for which Ed Hardy has been best known. Snakes, hearts, gang emblems all jump out at you from the clothes. In fact, they have become so successful that Ed Hardy himself has actually retired from tattooing himself to focus on the business.

For people who are interested in this superb juxtaposition of styles, there is actually an Ed Hardy sale on their website at the moment. There are some great offers on at the moment, and it is definitely worth checking out as soon as you get a moment.

Affliction – Turning The Fashion World On Its Head

July 6th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Clothing, Fashion

There’s something about Affliction clothing that just makes you adore them. It might have something to do with the religious imagery in their designs, or perhaps their credibility as a designer, but for me it’s the total lack of pretension in their clothes that I adore.

Affliction is a relatively recent entrant to the fashion scene, and I think this newness has something to do with it. Many of the “traditional” fashion houses have been around for so long that they start to believe their own hype. They think they’re special, and that they can turn out boring clothes with simply their logo on and make a masterpiece. And they fail, badly. If you want to spend a lot of money, you want something that at least has a bit of time and effort put into it. The big companies though can’t be bothered

Affliction aren’t like that. They’ve only been going since 2005, but even so are managing to pull in profits of over $7 million a year. Affliction shirts are perfectly made, as are the rest of their range, with heavy religious imagery interwoven with more down to earth designs. They have an eye for detail that you won’t find anywhere else, and the Affliction sale currently on means that their clothes are a lot better value for money than everyone else around.

Of course they’re no strangers to controversy, but let’s be honest, who among us doesn’t like to be a little bit bad once in a while? Affliction, and their sister brand, Sinful, are quite simply the edgiest, the hottest, and the most brilliant designers out there. I wouldn’t be seen in anything else.
